Terms of Service — Job Application Tracker Google Sheets

Last updated: Aug 25, 2026

This extension ("the extension") is built and maintained by an independent individual developer, not a company. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.

1. What this is

The extension logs job applications you submit on supported career sites into a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive, shows an applied/not-applied badge on job postings, and (if you opt in) can auto-fill application forms and scan your Gmail for status updates via a script deployed under your own Google account.

2. Provided as-is

The extension is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied — including no warranty of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. It's a side project maintained by one person; features can break, change, or stop working without notice.

3. No liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the extension — including but not limited to missed job applications, incorrect data in your spreadsheet, lost data, or any consequence of relying on the extension's badges, auto-fill, or email-status features. You use it at your own risk, and you're responsible for verifying your own application records.

4. Your data stays yours

Your job application data is written to a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive and stays under your control at all times. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what the backend stores and why.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the extension to violate the terms of service of any job site or ATS platform it interacts with, attempt to abuse or overload the backend, or try to circumvent plan/usage limits (e.g. by sharing a license key). Accounts doing so may be disabled.

6. Paid plans

Paid tiers unlock higher usage limits. There's no formal refund policy; if something's wrong, email the contact below and it'll be handled on a reasonable, case-by-case basis. Pricing may change at any time.

7. Changes to the service

The developer may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the extension or backend, at any time, without notice or liability. These terms may also be updated; continued use after a change means you accept the update.

8. Termination

You can stop using the extension and uninstall it at any time. The developer may also disable an account at their discretion, particularly for abuse.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent applicable to an individual offering a free/low-cost tool.
